Striped pyjamas, dogs on the sofa and bed head hair - all Martin Clunes was missing on Good Morning Britain was a cup of tea.

The 58-year-old actor took advantage of the fact he was appearing on the ITV breakfast show via videolink on Tuesday morning by sporting his nightwear for a chat with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.

Explaining his decision to channel the ultimate work from home vibes, Clunes told the hosts: “I’ve got no access to the make-up I so desperately need so I thought I might as well just [arrive] how you find me.”

The actor’s unexpected get-up went down well with fans:

Clunes was appearing on GMB to promote the Guide Dogs charities' virtual tea party, which takes place at 3pm today.

With the help of famous faces including Clunes, Bill Turnbull and Imelda Staunton, the charity is hoping to break the world record for the largest ever online tea party.

Tuesday's GMB also featured an emotional interview with pensioner Ken Bembow and his carer, Kia Tobin.

A video of 94-year-old Bembow receiving a special gift from Tobin, his carer, went viral on Twitter earlier this week.

The adorable (and incredibly heart-wrenching) clip sees Tobin gift Bembow a pillow with his late wife's face on.

Bembow then bursts into tears as he shares his gratitude with the young carer.
