Philadelphia officials say Martin Luther King Drive will be reopening to cars this summer.
- We've got this just into Action News, and some welcome news here. Martin Luther King Drive will reopen to cars beginning in August. The city of Philadelphia closed a four-mile stretch of the road last March so people could get outside during the pandemic. MLK drive will still be closed on weekends, though, through the end of October. So we know August is not as soon as some people hope, but nonetheless, it is a date on the calendar.
