Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Here's which city facilities are closed, trash pickup schedule
Most of the city of Corpus Christi's non-essential offices will be closed Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
All offices will reopen Tuesday.
Emergency and essential services such as police, fire and the airport will remain open and maintain normal operations.
The utilities business office will be closed, but customers may make utility bill payments online on the city's website, at H-E-B locations or by calling 361-885-0751.
The Municipal Court will be closed. However, customers may make payments by calling 1-866-299-7084 or by using the dropbox at 120 N. Chaparral St. Customers can request Defensive Driving courses through municipalonlinepayments.com/corpuschristitx.

Public Health District
The district will be closed Monday and no COVID-19 testing will be performed this week. COVID-19 testing will resume Monday, Jan. 23. The COVID-19 vaccination clinic at La Palmera mall will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
Solid Waste Operations
There will be no garbage, recycling or brush and bulky items collected on Monday. The alternate collection date for Monday customers will be on Saturday.
The J.C. Elliott Collection Center and Transfer Station will be closed Monday. The Cefe Valenzuela Landfill will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday.

Parks and Recreation
The Lozano Golf Center, Oso Golf Course, H-E-B Tennis Center, Al Kruse Tennis Center, Collier Pool and Corpus Christi Natatorium will be open Monday.
The Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center will be closed Monday. The walking trails and playground will be open from dawn to dusk.
The Corpus Christi Gym and Ben Garza Gym will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, for City Winter Youth Basketball League participants only.
The After Hour Kid Power Program Office, recreation centers and all senior centers will be closed Monday.
