Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Wellfleet: Silent march, then short scenes on racism

WELLFLEET — More than 100 walkers took part in the 21st annual ArtPeaceMakers "WalKING" celebration Monday, held in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.

The silent meditation march was preceded by a drum circle. The walk started at town hall, meandered down Main Street to the library and back to town hall. After the walk, participants were invited to Judith Partelow's "Neighbors" presentation at the Wellfleet Preservation Hall.

"Neighbors" is a collection of short scenes and monologues discussing racism on the Cape and the exclusion some neighbors feel in their community. The preservation hall also hosted the ArtPeaceMaker’s MLK Art Show for Racial Justice.
