The Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast Committee has announced that the 2022 MLK, Jr. Unity Celebration will be held virtually.

Due to public health conditions, the traditional breakfast held at Blue Ridge Community College was moved to a virtual format beginning in 2021, according to a news release.

This year’s virtual celebration video will feature a keynote address from New York Times bestselling author Dolen Perkins-Valdez. Prayer, music, and dancing provided by local groups will accompany.

The video is not live, and viewers are invited to watch from the comfort of their homes beginning any time after 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17. The video can be accessed at cfhcforever.org and vimeo.com/cfhcforever.

The 2022 video celebration is sponsored by Blue Ridge Community College, Community Foundation of Henderson County, Conserving Carolina, and Dogwood Health Trust.
