Martin’s Mill girls head off for the state tournament in San Antonio

BEN WHEELER, Texas (KETK) — It might have been cold outside, but that did not stop the Martin’s Mill community from sending off the Lady Mustangs in style.

For the fourth year in a row, the Martin’s Mill girls have punched their ticket to the state basketball tournament in San Antonio.

On Wednesday morning, fans, friends, and family came together in the high school basketball gym to celebrate these ladies before they began their trek to the Alamodome, a gesture that is always appreciated by these players and coaches.

Martin’s Mill will open their 2024 state tournament on Friday morning when they take on the Goldthwaite Lady Eagles in the 2A semifinals at 8:30.

If they win, they will play for the state championship at 1:30 Saturday afternoon from the Alamodome.
