Martins Mill’s girls basketball continues as they punch their ticket to state

“She had a great career, the thing about her is she’s an unselfish, a great shooter And I can’t think of almost a time ever when she took a shot where she could have given somebody else the ball,” said Head Coach Jay Bruce. ” So tonight we decided to send her out in her last game here in Martins Mill to ensure we got the ball to her quite a bit and so we did and as usual, she buried shots. And what a way to go out 51 points, pretty all means everything.”

“I mean, I’ve had a great four years, but to top it off, like this is amazing and I can’t thank my teammates enough for giving me the shots and just for being super unselfish and letting me go out like that,” added Senior Kate Lindsey. “It means the world I’ve grown up watching all the Lady Mustangs before me play and all I ever want to do is be like them and I guess you could say now I am.”

Martins Mill keeps their 19-year-long district championship winning streak alive Friday night.
