Martinsville man killed in one-vehicle crash on I-69

A Martinsville man died Saturday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 69. The report had not been completed on Sunday, but Morgan County Coroner Mike Ellis said Terry Thomas, 64, died in the crash.

According to the coroner, Thomas was northbound when his vehicle ran off the road and hit the East Morgan Street overpass embankment.

The overpass is in front of the Martinsville Golf Course. A passenger in Thomas' vehicle suffered minor injuries. Traffic on I-69 northbound was restricted for more than an hour due to the crash.
