Martinsville volleyball player Molly Urban announced Sunday she has verbally committed to the University of Louisville.

"Super excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Louisville to continue my volleyball and academic career," Urban said through a Twitter post. "I would like to thank my family, coaches, teammates, and friends for always believing in me and helping me through this process."

The commitment comes after a season where she was a key part of a Martinsville team that went 26-6, compiling 537 digs, 536 receptions to only 31 errors, 46 assists and 59 aces along the way.

Through her careers, she's gathered 1,684 receptions with only 122 errors, 1,413 digs, 108 aces and 73 assists playing as the Artesians' defensive specialist and libero.

Urban is joining a Louisville program that is currently ranked No.1 in the nation, holding a 30-0 record as they prepare for a Sweet 16 matchup with No.16 Florida in the NCAA Tournament Thursday.
