Tickets for the three-day event are currently on sale at https://bristolrhythm.com.

Over three days, the festival attracts over 40,000 visitors to the farthest reaches of East Tennessee to see 100 bands playing over a dozen outdoor stages and indoor venues along Bristol's historic State Street -- where the Bristol Sessions occurred.

"Bristol has always been a central space for country music," stated Music City and Bristol-favored singer-songwriter Jim Lauderdale in a 2022 Tennessean interview.

In recent years, Charley Crockett, Lucy Dacus, Sierra Ferrell and The War and Treaty -- among many emerging Nashville favorites -- have played the annual Bristol festivities.

The event also coincides with the run of festival sponsor the Birthplace of Country Music Museum's newest exhibit: "I've Endured: Women in Old-Time Music," through Dec. 31.

Via a press release, the festival states, "Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion has a long tradition of female inclusivity within its lineup. Approximately 46% of the acts booked in 2023 are women or include bands with at least one female. 'I've Endured: Women in Old-Time Music' honors the hidden heroines, activists, and commercial success stories of women that have impacted the roots and branches of old-time music, past and present. From iconic musicians like Mother Maybelle and Sara Carter, Ola Belle Reed, Elizabeth Cotten, Lily May Ledford, Hazel Dickens, Etta Baker and Alice Gerrard to torchbearers and innovators Rhiannon Giddens, Amythyst Kiah, Martha Spencer and Molly Tuttle."

"To see the past, present and future all coming together...and having that contemporary voice and not just talking about the past and the history really is what's going to make this exhibit have real impact," stated the museum's head curator Dr. René Rodgers, to The Tennessean.

Moreover, in conjunction with the exhibit, the Birthplace of Country Music Museum is partnering with The Crooked Road: Virginia's Heritage Music Trail to bring old-time music by the Mustard Cutters, The Loose Strings Band, Ferrum College's Orchestra Appalachia, Whitetop Mountain Band, and Addie Levy to the museum during Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion. A festival wristband is required to attend.
