Marvel fans may have celebrated the new "Avengers: Endgame" trailer that dropped on Thursday, but many were upset over the official movie poster that accompanied the clip, prompting the studio to fix it hours later.
Displeased social media users commented on the fact that, while an image of "Black Panther" star Danai Gurira appeared on the poster, her name was not included with the other actors' names at the top.
As fans pointed out, every other star who appeared on the poster had their name featured, including Bradley Cooper, whose animated Rocket raccoon from the "Guardians of the Galaxy" franchise appears in the very bottom of the art.
"BLACK PANTHER star Danai Gurira is the only actor pictured whose name isn’t billed at the top," one Twitter user shared. "Her image is larger than some actors who do get that billing. The only one from the franchise’s best and most profitable movie, and yet? @MarvelStudios, this isn’t difficult. Fix this."
"Every actor who appears on the poster has their name listed at the top………except Danai Gurira, the one Black woman," another wrote.
"Um... why is the ONLY person who appears on this poster that is NOT credited Danai Gurira?" read another indignant reaction. "I’m pretty sure that needs rectifying quickly Marvel! Mainly because she deserves her name up there just as much as everyone else. And also, because Okoye is Queen"

Hours later, Marvel released a new poster with Gurira's name included on the studio's official Twitter account, writing, "She should have been up there all this time."
Fans celebrated Marvel's decision to change course, with one fan writing, "Thank you for fixing the poster so fast! Danai is a true warrior and I’m glad she’s getting the recognition she deserves."
"Black Twitter got Marvel to put Danai Gurira's name on the Endgame poster. Crying... at how we drive the culture," read another celebratory reaction.
Fans threw that first poster back at Marvel like: pic.twitter.com/187V1n9MM4— April 26th = Thanos' funeral (@Blue_Wallflow3r) March 14, 2019
