Marvel’s ‘Captain America 4’ Reveals Title Change And First Look Of Anthony Mackie And Harrison Ford On Set

The fourth installment of the Captain America franchise has undergone a name change a year before its scheduled release.

Marvel Studios recently announced that Captain America: New World Order is now Captain America: Brave New World. Marvel shared the title change on social media along with a photo stars Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford on the film’s set.

Mackie is making his first appearance as the eponymous hero in the feature film. The role was previously played by Chris Evans, who starred as the titular character in the first three films before exiting the part in Avengers: Endgame.

Despite this being Mackie’s first time playing Captain America, the actor, of course, is no stranger to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He previously starred as the Falcon in the MCU but took on the Captain America shield in the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

As for Harrison Ford, he is making his MCU debut in Captain America: Brave New World as President of the United States Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, a role that was previously held by William Hurt.

In addition to Mackie and Ford, the film also stars Liv Tyler and Tim Blake Nelson, reprising their roles of Betty Ross and Samuel Sterns from The Incredible Hulk, as well as Xosha Roquemore, Shira Haas and Danny Ramirez.

Captain America: Brave New World will hit theaters on May 3, 2024.
