Marvel's Ironheart has cast Fargo star Anji White as a series regular.

The actress joins an already-stacked cast including If Beale Street Could Talk's Dominique Thorne, Hamilton's Anthony Ramos, Solo: A Star Wars Story's Alden Ehrenreich, Wentworth's Zoe Terakes, Mayans MC's Manny Montana, RuPaul's Drag Race star Shea Couleé, and legendary voice actor Cree Summer.

Meanwhile, Borat actor Sacha Baron Cohen has been rumoured to be playing the villain Mephisto, though Marvel is yet to confirm.

Thorne takes on the role of titular character Ironheart, who made her MCU debut in last year's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Previously, the actress opened up on the advice Robert Downey Jr gave her over playing Marvel's next Iron-Person, saying: "He had some beautiful words to say about how much he believes that Riri Williams is and should always be her own person, her own thing, that this legacy is headed in the right direction. All the beautiful encouraging things that you hope to hear from the Iron Man himself."

Teasing Ironheart's diverse cast, she added: "I'm looking forward to seeing the impact, or the effect, that the cast has on folks who are watching the show. We have so many just obnoxiously talented individuals in this cast. It's sickening how incredible some of these actors are and comedians are."

Ironheart will stream on Disney+.
