MANITOWOC - The Lakeshore All Sports Hall of Fame has announced its Class of 2023 inductees who will be honored at the 45th Enshrinement Banquet at 6:30 p.m. April 26 at City Limits Bar and Banquet Hall, 3627 County Road CR, Manitowoc.

Class of 2023 inductees are Mary Beth Dixon and John Dixon (posthumously), Doug Free, Dave Mueller and David Uhrich.

Receiving achievement awards will be Kirt Carviou, Rosemary Hickman, Rick Hoffman, Kaitlyn Lewis, Bob Satori, Karen Schuh and Scott Willems.

Receiving senior college athlete awards will be female recipient Allyson Verbauwhede and male recipient Trevor Wenzel.

Receiving the Al Fenlon Commitment to Excellence Award will be Glenn Mella.

Guest speaker will be Don Davey, a Manitowoc Lincoln grad and former Badger, Packer and Jacksonville Jaguars football player.

Manitowoc library to screen ‘Top Gun: Maverick’: Manitowoc Public Library, 707 Quay St., will show the Academy Award-nominated “Top Gun: Maverick” in the Balkansky Community Room from 5 to 7:30 p.m. April 13.

The movie is rated PG-13. Admission is free.

Citizen Park Rec Center spring craft and vendor fair set for April 15: A spring craft and vendor fair will be held April 15 at Citizen Park Rec Center (Rollaire Skate Center building), 930 N. 18th St., Manitowoc. Doors open at 10 a.m. and the event runs until 3 p.m. Admission is free.

The event will feature more than 50 booths along with a brat and burger fry, and a bake sale run by the Rollaire Speed Team. Bucket raffles will also be offered with six tickets for $5 or $1 each, and winners need not be present to win.

This will be the eighth spring craft and vendor fair the group has hosted. Booth space is sold out. They also host an identical event in fall, this year scheduled for Nov. 11. Many of the crafters and home party vendors have been with them from the start and are locals. They also draw vendors from across the state.

This event is one of the largest annual fundraisers for Friends of Citizen Park Rec Center. The group formed in December 2011 after the city announced plans to close the Citizen Park Rec Center (formerly the city armory) because of the costs of necessary repairs to the building. All proceeds Friends of CPRC receive from the event go toward continued upgrades to the building. For more details, visit “Friends of Citizen Park Rec Center” on Facebook.

Forst Inn Arts Collective presents ‘Godspell’: The Forst Inn Arts Collective will present Stephen Schwartz’s classic musical “Godspell” on weekends between April 14 and May 2.

“Godspell” was the first major musical theater offering from three-time Grammy Award and Academy Award winner Stephen Schwartz (“Wicked,” “Pippin,” “Children of Eden”), and it took the world by storm.

The production is directed by Michael Sheeks with musical direction by Phillip Jindra and choreography by Kevin James Sievert.

The show features a cast filled with both Forst Inn regulars and new faces.

Returning to the Forst Inn stage are Erin LaFond (Jesus), Corey McElroy (Judas/John the Baptist), Tessa Komorowski Jindra (Lindsey), Karter Mueller (Telly), Em Schaller (Anna Marie), Megan Schauer (Uzo), Katie Sievert (Celisse), Sean Stalvey (George) and Ash Stokes (Nick).

New to The Forst in this production are Tom Berger (Judas/John the Baptist - Weekend Two), Phoenix McElroy (Ensemble) and MJ Reichard (Morgan).

The orchestra includes Phillip Jindra (keyboard), Keith Krumrich (guitar), Charlie Collins (guitar), Lee Nudelman (bass) and William Jindra (drums).

The production team includes Claran LaViolette on costumes, Kevin James Sievert on lighting and Jeff LaFond as stage manager.

Tickets are $20-$32 for seating in the intimate cabaret theater. Options for light dining are available. The Forst pub opens 90 minutes before curtain and features live music from Lee Nudelman for the hour prior to the performance.

Roncalli’s Spring Music Explosion is April 22: Roncalli High School will present its Spring Music Explosion from 5 to 7 p.m. April 22 in the Fine Arts Center at the school, 2000 Mirro Drive.

The event will feature entertainment by Roncalli’s Jazz Band and Saxophone Choir, along with the Roncalli Middle School Jazz Band, and various other small groups.

Fresh, local, wood-fired pizza will be provided by Wild Fire Pizza. Ten-inch, individual-sized pizzas will be served. Attendees can select from classic pepperoni, classic sausage, veggie special, classic margherita special, wild mushroom special, and The Classic (pepperoni, sausage and mushroom).

Adult tickets are $20 for dining and entertainment and $9 per ticket for children. Entertainment-only tickets for adults and children are $8 each. Children younger than 5 are admitted free. Seating is limited. Pizza choice and seating time selection form with payment must be turned in to Roncalli High School’s main office by April 11.

United Way to hold pair of spring volunteer fairs: United Way Manitowoc County is celebrating National Volunteer Month by holding a pair of spring volunteer fairs.

The first fair will be 4-6 p.m. April 26 in the community room at the Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA, 205 Maritime Drive, Manitowoc.

The second fair will be 8-10 a.m. April 29 at the Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Wellness Center, 1650 S. 41st St., Manitowoc.

Attendees will be able to connect with local nonprofits and learn their mission, services and available volunteer opportunities.

The fairs are free and open to the public with no registration required.

Kiel Municipal Band’s spring concert is April 14: The Kiel Municipal Band is rehearsing for its concert set for 7 p.m. April 14 at the Kiel High School Performing Arts Center.

The band is preparing selections with music from the United States and Scandinavian countries.

The program also features marches, including one by Dr. Edgar Thiessen, former conductor of the KMB.

The concert at the PAC is family friendly and handicapped accessible. There is no admission charge, but free-will offerings are accepted. The PAC is at 210 Raider Heights, Kiel.
