Booster COVID-19 vaccines are being made available to millions more Marylanders. After the CDC's announcement, some retail pharmacies started issuing press releases to announce they're ready to give out booster shots. However, as was seen with the Pfizer booster process, decisions made at corporate headquarters can take some time to make their way down to local pharmacy counters. Gov. Larry Hogan on Friday announced the immediate authorization of Moderna, J&J and "mix-and-match" COVID-19 booster shots. He said the move by federal regulators came several days earlier than expected.
