Maryland encourages residents to get COVID bivalent booster shot

Marylanders are encouraged to get the new COVID-19 bivalent booster vaccine to protect against the virus and its variants. Maryland health officials formally authorized new single-dose bivalent boosters for COVID-19 following approval by both the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Federal and state health officials are recommending that everyone 12 and older get this updated shot from Pfizer, for people 12 and older, and from Moderna, for people 18 and older. Residents are eligible two months since their last vaccine dose of any kind, whether it is a primary or booster dose.
