- All right. As the pandemic continues, there is some good news. The NCAA tournament is underway after COVID forced last year's tournament to be canceled.

- WJZ is in Timonium and Amy Kawata brings us the excitement ahead of tonight's Maryland's game and how it's giving restaurants and bars a much needed boost. Hi Amy.

AMY KAWATA: Yeah. Hey, Kelsey and Max. Well, for any basketball fan, this is the best time of the year for them. Take a look here. We're at High Tops in Timonium.

It's clear Marylanders have missed their NCAA tournament basketball. Now, here at High Tops, there are TVs lined up throughout the space for fans to enjoy and the staff here are also looking for a win of their own. And now, they're all here taking COVID precautions.

Seats are still socially distanced. Again, the Baltimore County did a lift their COVID restrictions. They are hoping to make up for that time lost, as last year's experience fell short due to COVID. Now while they are looking for a boost in business, many are excited for the UMD Terps hitting the court tonight in its first round to face the UConn Huskies.

Win or lose, hoops fans are just happy that the madness is back in March and being able to safely come together to cheer on their teams again. Again, the Terps are set to face the UConn Huskies tonight at 7:00. Live tonight in Timonium, I'm Amy Kawata for WJZ.
