Maryland health officials prepare to give children COVID-19 vaccine

While the nation waits for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to allow younger children to get Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine, health departments in Maryland are preparing to give children their shots. On Monday, the Food and Drug Administration granted emergency authorization for use of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine in children ages 12 to 15. Anne Arundel County is launching a big vaccination push toward teens this week, offering COVID-19 shots at four different high schools each Wednesday for the next three weeks.
