Gov. Larry Hogan proclaimed tomorrow Women Veterans Day, and used the event to announce a new program.

- Honoring women of the Armed Forces. Governor Larry Hogan has proclaimed tomorrow Women Veterans Day, and used the occasion to announce the Women Veterans inclusion program.

GOV. LARRY LOGAN: This new program will expand outreach, improve awareness, and ensure more women veterans have access to the benefits they have honorably earned, while serving our nation.

- State Veterans Affairs Secretary George Owings says this program will help the Department identify challenges, and then find solutions for those problems. 52,000 women who have served in the military now call Maryland home.
