Maryland Retains 8 Seats In Congress, Population Grows By 7%, Census Data Shows

It seems more people are moving to Maryland.

NICOLE BAKER: Well, also new at 7:00, it seems that more people are moving here to Maryland. New census data shows the state's population grew 7% between 2010 and last year. Now, Maryland ranks as the 18th-most populous state, up from 19th 10 years ago. More detailed information about things like age and race of the population won't be available until later this year. And based on these numbers alone, we will retain our eight seats in the House of Representatives.
