Maryland Route 214 closed in Davidsonville due to sinkhole

Crews shut down a major road Wednesday in Anne Arundel County where a sinkhole opened up. A portion of Maryland Route 214 is shut down in Davidsonville between Riva and Beards Point roads. Maryland State Highway Administration crews are working on emergency repairs that could take quite some time after a drainage pipe burst under the roadway, most likely from the heavy rains over the past couple of days.
