Maryland special session takes up redistricting, veto overrides

It will be a big week ahead in Annapolis as Maryland lawmakers are set to return for a special session on redistricting. Last month, Gov. Larry Hogan's own citizen committee finalized maps that the governor said will give Republicans a stronger edge and "have a chance to restore fairness to our political system." The Maryland Redistricting Advisory Committee, led by Democratic lawmakers, heavily favors Democrats with all eight districts in favor of the party.
