- Just in time with St. Patrick's Day coming up just next week, Maryland State Police say they will be stepping up their patrols to keep everyone safe. With an increase in impaired drivers expected throughout the next two weekends, state police will conduct saturation patrols at each of the 23 barracks by focusing on impaired, aggressive, and distracted driving. So if you're planning to celebrate, they're asking that you do so safely.
