Maryland students keep Cool Schools Plunge going despite pandemic

Students across Maryland aren't letting a pandemic stop them from participating in the Cool Schools Plunge. Before the global pandemic, Wednesday would have been the day that students from across Maryland would flock to the Chesapeake Bay for the Cools Schools Polar Bear Plunge. This year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the plunge is going virtual. The Cool Schools Plunge is one of the best field trips of the year, but like many of the lessons learned in the past 10 months, the students are improvising and they've helped to lead the way.
