Maryland weather: Baltimore region to see warmer temperatures this weekend through early next week

After a freeze warning swept most of the state late Wednesday and Thursday, the Baltimore region should expect to see mild temperatures Friday through Sunday as daylight saving approaches, the National Weather Service said.

The hard overnight freeze earlier in the week marked the official end of the growing season.

“The National Weather Service [...] will not issue any further Frost and Freeze products until Spring of 2024,” NWS said in a news release.

Friday will see sunny skies with a high of 59 degrees and a low of 36. Winds are expected to be between 5 to 9 mph, with gusts that could reach 20 mph.

Temperatures in the Baltimore metropolitan area are expected to rise throughout the weekend, with Saturday seeing a high of 62 degrees with partly sunny skies, and a high of 66 degrees on Sunday.

Skies are expected to be mostly sunny on Sunday.

Austin Mansfield, a NWS meteorologist, said the region can expect warmer temperatures to carry into Sunday evening with a forecasted high of 42 degrees.

Mansfield also said there’s currently no precipitation on the radar.

The warmer weather is expected to carry into early next week with Monday seeing a high of 64 degrees and Tuesday potentially reaching 70 degrees.
