Marylou's Coffee opens in SouthCoast. Here's where you can get your 'pink cup' treat.

DARTMOUTH – Coffee lovers no longer have to drive to Rochester or Lakeville to fulfill any Marylou’s Coffee cravings as the North Dartmouth location is officially open and ready to serve.

“We had so many people from the North Dartmouth area that just said ‘hey, come here, come here,’” said Bill McDonough, managing partner of Scribendi Digital Marketing and has worked with Marylou’s for over 17 years.

“We finally found a great place to open up.”

Famous for its bright pink cups, the New England coffee chain opened at 155 Faunce Corner Road, co-located with the Mobil gas station and convenience store.

The new coffee shop, which includes a drive-through window, will be serving customers from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily. McDonough said the first day was overwhelming, full of fans excited to check out the new shop.

“The opening of our North Dartmouth location has been a long time coming and we are thrilled to finally be part of the community,” said Marylou Sandry, who founded Marylou’s. “We look forward to serving our new friends and neighbors in the South Coast.”

The company’s stores are known for their wide selection of specialty and flavored coffees. All the flavors are all natural, with no artificial flavoring at all, according to McDonough.

“Two thirds of people drink various coffee drinks either iced or frozen drinks all year long who come here,” he added.  “The menu of the flavored coffees and specialty frozen drinks continues to grow.  There's something for everyone. The menu is huge. It's much more richer coffee then you’ll find anywhere else.”

Started in 1986 in Hanover, with the opening of the new North Dartmouth café, Marylou’s now has 42 locations, including 36 in Massachusetts and six in Rhode Island.

Marylou’s originally announced it was opening a location in June 2022, but faced major delays due to materials and construction issues, said McDonough.

“It just seemed to be forever to get this done. And we're just happy it's finally have it open and running,” he said, adding that they are now considering a future location in the New Bedford and Fall River areas.

“We just love seeing people, whether it's five in the morning for the early commuters or the late afternoon crowd. We try to serve everything with a smile and make your day, if we can.”
