Masked man dressed in all black robs bank

Mar. 13—LENOIR — A masked man robbed a Lenoir bank Monday morning. Police are appealing the public for help identifying the suspect.

At approximately 9:13 a.m., a man wearing a mask, dark clothing entered the Truist Bank, located at 201 Mulberry St., Lenoir. He handed the teller a note, demanding an undisclosed amount of money. He stated that he had a weapon, but never brandished it during the robbery.

Afterward, the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as a short white male, green eyes, dressed in all black with a face covering concealing his facial features, Lenoir police said.

Detectives continue to conduct an active criminal investigation and are working to identify anyone involved.
