The Masked Singer's season 5 champion, revealed last night to beMcFly's Danny Jones, has shared the adorable moment his son found out that he was Piranha.

The fifth series, hosted by Joel Dommett and judged by Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan (with special guest Rob Brydon for the finale), came to a close last night (February 17), with Cricket, Piranha and Bigfoot all revealing their identities.

Jones, who has been singing as Piranha for season five, took to Instagram to post a video of the moment his son watched his unmasking.

"Thought something was a bit fishy," the caption to the video read. Upon finding out that his father had been singing on TV for the past season of dramatic celebrity unmaskings, Jones's son jumps into his father's arms and screams: "It's you! It's you!"

Dommett commented on the video, joking: "To be fair this was my reaction too..." while fellow boyband star Charlie Simpson of Busted wrote: "Yes mate! Congrats!"

Pop singer Pixie Lott wrote: "Ahhh this is the best!"

Former bandmate Tom Fletcher also congratulated Jones on his win, posting an Instagram video stating "You gave some of the best vocals I've ever heard ever! They were unreal."

After his win, Jones said: "I've had the most amazing time. I can escape behind here and just be Piranha and sing these songs.

"I've learnt so much, I'm able to sing higher now just from being on this show. I've gone up a whole tone, it's amazing! I am so happy, thank you for making me the champ."

Elsewhere during the finale, Cricket was revealed to be 'If There's Any Justice' soul singer Lemar Obika, and Bigfoot was revealed to be The Last Leg co-host Alex Brooker – despite the TV star denying the rumours recently.
