The Masked Singer US unmasks Squirrel and Jackalope in double elimination

The Masked Singer US revealed the identities of two of its contestants in a Sesame Street themed episode.
First up was reigning champ Squirrel who competed against newbies Fairy and Jackalope.
But she lost the crown after her performance of 'Just the Two of Us' by Grover Washington Jr and Bill Withers. It was revealed that Squirrel is in fact movie star Malin Akerman.

Judge Ken Jeong apologised to her for not recognising The Rock Of Ages actress, as they'd worked together a number of times. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg was the only judge to correctly guess the 27 Dresses star.
Taking to social media after her performance, Malin wrote: "Well… it's true, the #squirrelmask on @maskedsingerfox is me!!! Were you able to guess?!
"Did you go nuts for Super Squirrel? Thank you to everyone who voted for me and a special thanks to the vocal coach Timothy Carter for giving me confidence. I had an absolute blast!!!"
It was then down to Jackalope and Fairy to battle it out, with them both performing Imagine Dragons' 'On Top of the World'. Jackalope was sent packing, and was unmasked as social media star Lele Pons.

Judges Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke celebrated their correct guesses, while McCarthy-Wahlberg had thought it was Wednesday star Jenna Ortega, and Jeong believing it was Selena Gomez.
Following her unmasking, Lele said: "I've been impersonating Shakira, I've been practicing since I was a little kid."
Speaking of her decision to take part in the show, she said: "I like to do new things. I don't like to repeat stuff. So I'm here now and I don't know where I'm gonna be tomorrow. I'm here now and I'm really grateful for this opportunity."
