Mason County Courthouse arson trial begins

BRADY, Texas (KXAN) – The arson trial for the man accused of burning a courthouse began Tuesday.

Nicholas Miller is accused of starting the fire at the Mason County Courthouse in February 2021.

The 111-year-old building soon became engulfed in flames and appeared to be a near-total loss.

Nobody was hurt in the fire.

Restoration of the courthouse has been underway for the last two years with the building expected to re-open later in 2024.
