Some Mass. parks close early after reaching capacity on Memorial Day

Some parks in Massachusetts stopped allowing people to enter after quickly filling to capacity on Memorial Day.

Crowds flocked to Cochituate State Park, Scusset Beach State Reservation, Walden Pond State Reservation, Hopkinton State Park, and Douglas State Forrest on Monday morning, according to the DCR Park Closure and Advisory Dashboard.

All of the parks, with the exception of Walden Pond State Reservation and Douglas State Forrest, plan to reopen later in the afternoon.
