Massachusetts-based Raytheon moving global headquarters to Virginia

Raytheon Technologies on Tuesday announced plans to move its global headquarters from Waltham, Massachusetts, to Arlington, Virginia.

The new location will increase agility in supporting U.S. government and commercial aerospace customers, in addition to reinforcing partnerships that will progress innovative technologies to advance the industry, the company said in a news release.

Raytheon says it will continue to maintain its strong presence with 600 facilities across 44 states and territories.

A spokesperson said the move would not reduce the company’s Massachusetts workforce.

The new global headquarters office will be in Arlington’s Rosslyn neighborhood, and sit alongside the Raytheon Intelligence and Space business.

Raytheon noted that it has not accepted or sought any financial incentives from any state or municipality to support the opening of the new office.
