A statewide organization is helping families and kids who are struggling with mental health issues by providing resources and support through education, advocacy and partnership.

Boston 25 Gets Real: 3 ways parents can help with kids’ mental health

One of the toughest challenges for parents of kids who are struggling with mental health issues is how and where to find help.

But Parent/Professional Advocacy League says it can help.

It’s an organization that has been teaching parents how to navigate the mental health system for more than three decades. It works by pairing them with parents who have similar lived experiences.

“PPAL is the only Massachusetts organization whose work focuses solely on the interests of families whose children have mental health needs,” the organization writes on their website.
