Massage parlor owner raped a client, and another has come forward, Indiana police say

An Indiana massage parlor owner is accused of raping a woman during her appointment, according to police.

Another client has also come forward during the investigation, police say.

James “Jim” Whitman is the owner of Butler Creative Touch Massage in Butler, a small town in northeast Indiana, according to an Indiana State Police news release.

He is accused of raping a woman at an appointment in January after she complained of “non-consensual sexual activity” during the massage, police say.

Whitman has operated the business for more than 10 years, but he isn’t licensed by the state, police say. He has a certificate from a massage therapy school, police say.

During the investigation, another woman told police she experienced a similar incident two years ago, according to the release.

Whitman, 57, was arrested Wednesday and charged with rape.
