MASSILLON – The Washington High School choirs will present the 77th performance of Handel's Messiah and The Christmas Spectacular at 3 p.m. Dec. 12 at the high school auditorium, 1 Paul Brown Drive SE.

The performance will feature more than 150 singers and alumni, student soloists and a professional orchestra.

Studnet soloists include:

  • Caitlin Norris, junior, Advanced Choir, daughter of Erin and John Norris, "I Know that my Redeemer Liveth."

  • Xavier Geisinger, senior, Advanced Choir, son of Helen and Jeremiah Geisinger, "The Trumpet Shall Sound."

  • Grace Erichsen, senior, Advanced Choir, daughter of Monica and Josh Erichsen, "If God is for Us, Who can be against Us?"

  • Rachel Wuske, senior, Washingtonian, daughter of Craig and Linda Wuske, "There were Shepherds" and "And the Angel Said unto them."

  • Aonya Burns, senior, Washingtonian, daughter of Alexis Freeman, "And suddenly there was with the Angel" and "Lo the Angel of the Lord came up them."

  • Synthia Stanley, junior, Advanced Choir, daughter of Barbara Fitzgerald, "Then shall the eyes of the blind be opened."

  • Sam Elbert, senior, Advanced Choir, daughter of Tom and Sherrie Elbert, "He shall feed his flock like a Shepherd, part 2."

  • Karsen Bratton, senior, Advanced Choir, daughter of Cindy and Steven Bratton, "He shall feed his flock like a Shepherd."

  • Grace Kanipe, senior, Advanced Choir and Washingtonian, "How beautiful are the feet of them."

  • Zach Hamilton, senior, Advanced Choir, son of Mindee and Jason Hamilton, "Comfort Ye my People."

  • Ezra Teall, senior, Advanced Choir, son of Jason and Amanda Teall, "Every Valley shall be Exalted."

  • Tenyson Graber, senior, Advanced Choir, son of Nick Graber and Jessica Lucas, "Thus saith the Lord."

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or at the high school ticket office the week of the performance.
