Massillon woman charged with murder in stabbing
MASSILLON – A 26-year-old woman has been charged with murder, felonious assault and other counts after being accused of killing her grandmother and injuring her mother and neighbor.
Police say Danielle M. Dichiara, 26, of Lake Trail NE, stabbed her grandmother, Gloria Dichiara, several times Monday afternoon. She also is accused of striking her grandmother in the head and arms several times with a heavy lamp post, according to police records.
Gloria Dichiara died from her injuries.

Dichiara also is accused of hitting her mother in the face with an oxygen tank, causing swelling and bloodying her nose.
A neighbor also was "stabbed/sliced" in the face with a knife after Dichiara asked for assistance and was allowed into her home, police said.
The woman's injuries required medical treatment and stitches.
Police have not responded to requests for additional comment or released a motive for the confrontations.
Investigators were called to the 1800 block of Lake Trail NE around 3:30 p.m. Monday. Dichiara's mother called 911 and reported that her daughter had killed her mother-in-law and was now running down the street.
When officers arrived, they found three victims. Dichiara was taken into custody at the scene, police said.
The Stark County Coroner's Office, Massillon police and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are handling the investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the police tip line at 330-830-1744.
