An airboat manufacturing plant caught fire near Russian Krasnoyarsk

A raging fire engulfing over 1,700 square meters broke out in an airboat manufacturing workshop in the village of Yalove near Krasnoyarsk, Russia, Russian Telegram channel Shot reported on Jan. 25.

27 firefighters and eight units of equipment are working to extinguish the blaze.  Russian sources claim there are no casualties.

The manufacturing site belongs to the company Aligator, known for producing flat-bottomed watercraft with inflatable and rigid hulls, equipped with aviation engines, the Shot Telegram channel said.

The fire near Krasnoyarsk is not the only recent incident in Russia.  Residents of the Russian city of Tuapse reported a fire near a local oil depot on the night of Jan. 25. Eyewitnesses claimed to have heard explosions over the city prior to the fire.
