Massive fire strikes celebrity chef Rachael Ray’s home. See photos of the damage
The New York home of celebrity chef Rachael Ray was destroyed Sunday night in a massive fire, according to reports.
Ray, her husband and their dog are safe after the fire, which occurred in the Lake Luzerne area in upstate New York around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the Post Star.
“Thank you to our local first responders for being kind and gracious and saving what they could of our home,” Ray tweeted. “Grateful that my mom, my husband, my dog… we’re all okay. These are the days we all have to be grateful for what we have, not what we’ve lost.”
The cause of the fire is unknown, but officials do not believe it was suspicious, WTEN reported.
“The house is unfortunately damaged and we don’t yet know to what extent,” Ray’s spokesperson told NBC News.
Photos and video show the home engulfed in flames, which shot more than 70 feet into the air, Sun Community News reported.

“The fire was fully involved and Ray’s home couldn’t be saved,” according to the outlet.
Ray has been filming segments of her TV series, “The Rachael Ray Show,” from her home during the coronavirus pandemic, according to the New York Post.
