MassMu Brown Bag Lunch program honors Vietnam Memorial anniversary
Veterans Rick Kettler and Terry Roan will present the "40th Anniversary of Massillon’s Vietnam Memorial” at the Massillon Museum’s Brown Bag Lunch program on May 23, beginning at 12:10 p.m. It will conclude about 12:50 p.m. to accommodate those who attend on their lunch hours.
Highlights
Kettler, an Air Force pilot in Vietnam and a retired Massillon Municipal Court judge, is a popular previous Brown Bag Lunch speaker and former museum board member. Roan, who served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, is commander of VFW Post 3124 and responsible for many of Massillon’s patriotic and veterans’ recognition activities.

Both were influential in erecting the local Vietnam monument, helped to strengthen the community’s appreciation for Vietnam veterans, and are annually instrumental in Massillon’s Memorial Day ceremony.
The Brown Bag Lunch series is free and open to everyone. Guests may bring lunch or purchase sandwiches, salad, and smoothies at Greatness Cafe in the museum lobby. MassMu provides complimentary cookies and coffee to all attendees.
