Here are the matchups for the second round of Cincinnati high school football playoffs

With Friday's first round of Ohio High School Athletic Association football playoffs in the books, it's time to look at next weekend's regional quarterfinals (second round). All games are set for Friday at 7 p.m. at the higher-seeded team's home venue.

Beginning with the third-round games, set for Nov. 11-12, neutral sites will be used. Divisions I, II, III and V will play Friday, Nov. 11. Divisions IV, VI and VII will play Saturday, Nov. 12.

Here's next Friday's (Nov. 4) slate:

Division I

No. 1 seed Moeller (10-1) hosts No. 9 seed St. Xavier (5-6)

Moeller hammered Hamilton 39-14 Friday to earn another game at Norwood's Shea Stadium. St. Xavier ended Fairfield's season at 7-4 with a 42-28 road win. That sets up a Greater Catholic League South rematch for the Crusaders and Bombers. Moeller won 20-17 at St. Xavier Sept. 16.

No. 4 seed Springboro (8-3) hosts No. 5 seed Mason (9-2).

The Panthers defeated Oak Hills 42-10 to end their season at 5-6. Mason got by Colerain 14-7 as the Cardinals finish 4-7.

No. 2 seed Elder (9-2) hosts No. 7 Milford (9-2)

This sets up Milford coach Tom Grippa against one of his former employers. Milford walloped Western Hills 62-16 while Elder mashed Middletown 49-7.

No. 3 seed Lakota West (11-0) hosts No. 6 seed Princeton (9-2)

The Firebirds of Lakota West shut out Lebanon 43-0 with Princeton ending West Clermont's season at 5-6 after a 43-6 victory. Lakota West and Princeton last played on Sept. 16 with the Firebirds taking the Vikings on the road 31-7.

Division II

No. 1 seed Winton Woods (11-0) hosts No. 9 seed Ross (6-5)

The Warriors comfortably defeated La Salle 35-13 with Ross nailing Northwest 41-7.

No. 4 seed Kings (10-1) hosts No. 5 seed Withrow (8-3)

Kings crushed Sidney 56-14 with Withrow doing the same to Loveland 44-7. The last time these teams played was when Withrow was in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference in 2019.

No. 10 seed Anderson (6-5) hosts No. 15 seed Little Miami (4-7)

Upsets (at least seeding-wise) were to the north Friday as Anderson trounced Troy 44-7 while Little Miami took Xenia to double overtime and knocked out the No. 2 seed 27-24. This sets up an ECC rematch between the Raptors and Panthers. Anderson won at Little Miami 56-28 on Sept. 30.

No. 3 seed Edgewood (10-1) hosts No. 6 Piqua (9-2)

Edgewood advanced by beating Lima Senior 38-6.

Division III

No. 1 seed Badin (11-0) hosts No. 9 seed New Richmond (8-3)

Badin grounded No. 16 Woodward's air game 42-0, while New Richmond's Lions were one better than Tecumseh 28-27.

No. 4 seed Wapakoneta (10-1) hosts No. 5 Bellbrook (9-2)

No. 2 seed Western Brown (10-1) hosts No. 5 seed Monroe (7-4)

Coach Nick Osborne's Broncos defeated Mount Healthy 33-20 with Monroe stinging Hughes 52-15. This leads to a rematch from the regular season. Western Brown defeated Monroe in a score fest on Sept. 2 in Mount Orab, 65-51.

No. 3 seed Tipp City Tippecanoe (10-1) hosts No. 11 Trotwood-Madison (7-4)

Division IV

No. 1 Wyoming (11-0) hosts No. 9 Springfield Shawnee (7-4)

Top seed Wyoming wiped out Waverly 44-0 with Shawnee ending Roger Bacon's run 33-7.

No. 5 seed Urbana (9-2) hosts No. 13 Clinton-Massie (6-5)

Defending champion Clinton-Massie made a statement in its opening playoff win taking out No. 4 seed Unioto 38-0.

No. 2 seed Taft (9-2) hosts No. 10 Kettering Alter (6-5)

Taft quarterback Javier Ison has been under center all season for the Senators who have advanced to the second round.

The Senators slammed CHCA 45-7 to end their season at 5-6. Alter finished Reading's campaign 21-14.

No. 6 seed McNicholas (6-5) hosts No. 14 Eaton (7-4)

McNicholas rolled Dayton Northridge 42-12 to earn the game with Eaton who got by Fenwick 31-28.

Division V

No. 1 seed Germantown Valley View (10-1) hosts No. 9 Blanchester (8-3)

Blanchester's Wildcats advanced by beating Summit Country Day handily 60-28.

No. 4 seed Chillicothe Zane Trace (11-0) hosts No. 5 Madeira (10-1)

Zane Trace shut out Clark Montessori 56-0 to get the game with the Mustangs who finished off Gamble Montessori 49-12.

No. 2 West Milton Milton-Union (10-0) hosts No. 10 Camden Preble Shawnee (8-2)

No. 3 seed Springfield Northeastern (11-0) hosts No. 6 Brookville (10-1)

Northeastern ended Waynesville's run with Brookville stopping Purcell Marian 41-7 as the Cavaliers finish 6-5.

Division VI

No. 5 seed Williamsburg lost to No. 12 Alexandria Twin Valley South 70-38 to end their season at 8-3.

No. 3 seed New Madison Tri-Village (10-1) hosts No. 6 seed Cincinnati Country Day (9-1)

Tri-Village beat No. 14 Deer Park 33-6 to advance against CCD, which downed No. 11 Beaver Eastern 27-20.

Division VII

(All local teams lost)

No. 16 Riverview East lost 67-0 to No. 1 Ansonia to end their season 3-7.

No. 9 St. Bernard-Elmwood Place lost to No. 8 Springfield Catholic Central 33-0 to end their season 6-5.

No. 10 Cincinnati College Preparatory lost to No. 7 Charleston Southeastern Local 36-8 to end their season 5-6.
