By now you are scheduled up to your garland and tinsel in office parties and family gatherings but make sure to keep some openings in your life for the great happenings that are coming up in Chillicothe this Christmas and New Year’s season. There are plenty of events in the area to round out your holiday plans, so let’s get to it.

Adena Mansion and Gardens will be decorated in 19th century yuletide splendor for two weekends only. The Visitor’s Center will have live entertainment and refreshments will be offered. Reproduction children’s toys, books, holiday decorations, and other unique items will be available for sale at the Adena gift shop. Elsewhere on the grounds, horse and carriage rides will be offered at an additional charge. You may purchase your tickets at the door on the day of the event, or by calling 740-772-1500, or online at adenamansion.com. If you are looking to start a local, family tradition this is a good one.
