A group of 250 volunteers along with McConaughey were able to pass out 4,500 frozen turkeys to local families in the area, which were provided by Butterball.

Wild Turkey is passing out turkeys. Get it?

The giveaway was part of the “Wild Turkey Gives Back” marketing initiative to give out free Thanksgiving turkeys for the holiday.

The volunteers helping with the project were actually caught by surprise when they discovered that the lead actor would be helping to hand out the turkeys.

During a Facebook live video posted by McConaughey he said, "We believe in our family the more you're thankful for, the more you show gratification for, the more you create in your life to be thankful for."

The Academy Award winning actor became Wild Turkey’s new creative director just last year.

Alright. Alright. Alright. Matthew McConaughey’s birthday was on Saturday just a few days before he took part in the Wild Turkey Gives Back Project, part of his commitment with the bourbon distillery to give back to the local community.

Hopefully, him handing out the turkeys was part of his birthday celebrations.
