As soon as the news of Matthew Perry's death broke Friends, memes began trending on social media as fans mourned the loss of the beloved Chandler Bing.

The Canadian actor - who died at the age of 54 on Saturday 28th October 2023 after being found unresponsive in the jacuzzi at his Los Angeles home - played the sarcastic and grouchy but kind and generous friend for 10 seasons of the cult 90s sitcom.

For Friends fans, Perry will always be remembered as Chandler - his adorable bromance with best friend Joey, his hilarious resentment of his job a data analyst, his sweet marriage to Monica, his relish of smoking and his risque fling with an old school friend played by Julia Roberts.

But Perry had many other acting roles outside of Friends, here we take a look at his most memorable moments on screen.

In this comedy Perry played a suburban dentist who finds himself caught up in the mafia when a gangster, played by Bruce Willis, moves in next door.

The film was a hit and spawned a sequel. But Willis was unsure of the movie's potential to be a success and so Perry made a bet with him on set that he believed it would top the box office which it did for several weeks.

As a result of losing his bet Willis had to make a cameo in Friends as Rachel's boyfriend with anger issues, Paul.

Away from the screen and movie set, Perry and Willis became real friends and he has said the Die Hard star was his favourite cameo star on the show.

The movie is available to watch on Netflix.
