Mattress Warehouse opening in Route 1 shopping center

NORTH BRUNSWICK - Mattress Warehouse is opening its first Middlesex County location at North Village Shopping Center on Route 1 in North Brunswick, said Levin Management Corp. (LMC), the exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 124,000-square-foot property.

“Mattress Warehouse had been pursuing a Route 1 location for quite some time,” said LMC Leasing Representative Ed Vasconcellos III, who arranged the 7,000-square-foot, long-term lease on behalf of the property’s ownership. "North Village Shopping Center enjoys a tremendous amount of traffic on Route 1 with more than 100,000 cars passing the property every day. Its location also makes it easily accessible to nearby neighborhoods and Route 130.”

Gary Leone of CBRE represented the tenant.

Mattress Warehouse opened its first store in 1989 in Fredrick, Maryland, the statement said. The national retailer carries a variety of mattress models, as well as a wide range of sleep accessories, pillows, sheets, mattress protectors, bed frames, platform beds and more.

North Village Shopping Center is anchored by Trader Joe’s, Bed Bath & Beyond and Michaels Arts & Crafts. Other tenants at the property include Staples, Ulta Beauty, Panera Bread, Smashburger, Chili’s, Lux Nails and Wu’s Shanghai Dumpling House, which is coming soon.
