Maya Jama and Stormzy have confirmed their relationship after their first public appearance together since their reunion.

The pair previously dated between 2014 and 2019, but rumours have been circulating over the past few months that they were back together.

The couple confirmed the speculation as they appeared together at the Vogue Forces For Change event in London on Thursday (November 23), with the magazine subsequently posting a video on their social media channels.

"#MayaJama and #Stormzy made their first joint appearance on the red carpet at #BritishVogue's #ForcesForChange event at @TheMaineMayfair last night, and dressed in coordinated outfits for the occasion," it wrote on Instagram.

Stormzy, rather coyly, addressed the reunion in an interview with Vogue earlier this month, saying: "We were so public the first time round. Somewhere down the line my spirit started resisting, so I'm not gonna speak on it."

Maya can currently be seen on screen for the debut season of Love Island Games, which sees several former stars return to the villa for more matchmaking and some added challenges.

In a recent episode, however, it was the presenter who captured the headlines as she recalled a hilarious story involving a dress and a Portaloo, leaving the Islanders horrified in the process.

"So, I had these strings on this dress, and I went in a Portaloo," she began. "They dripped in the loo, but I didn't realise. I went upstairs and I realised, 'I can smell shit. What the f**k is going on?’

"Yep, there was s**t on my strings. How mad – I thought one of the girls farted but it was me. To confirm, the bit with the shit on it got cut off," she concluded, leaving the Islanders grimacing and laughing.

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX. Love Island Games will air on Peacock in the US.
