A key matchup in the UFC women’s flyweight division is in the works for the promotion’s December pay-per-view event.

The seventh-youngest fighter on the UFC roster, Maycee Barber will look to win her second straight fight when she battles Montana De La Rosa, pending bout finalization. The bout takes place Dec. 11 at a location and venue to-be-announced, though the event will likely happen in Las Vegas.

De La Rosa (12-6-1 MMA, 5-2-1 UFC) announced the news in an Instagram Live with MMA Junkie on Wednesday. A person with knowledge of the matchup also verified paperwork has been issued for the bout and is expected to be signed in the coming days.

“We’re both fight finishers, both top 15,” De La Rosa said. “I’m really excited to start climbing the ranks.”
