Mayim Bialik 'not doing so well' on Christmas Eve following breakup
Breaking up is hard to do, especially during the holidays, and Mayim Bialik knows that firsthand.
The "Big Bang Theory" actress, 42, opened up about her struggles in an Instagram post Christmas Eve.
"The government is in a shutdown, it's Christmas Eve day, I'm newly single and not doing so well to be quite honest," she began. "But the most pressing issue right now is that my cats – after 2 years together – have started a dominance war that involves urine and feces. Long story short my bed is not able to be slept in and I'm sleeping on my couch."
She continued: "Just keeping you updated as to my life here."

Around Thanksgiving, Bialik posted on her website, Grok Nation, that she was newly single and spending the holiday with her ex-husband Michael Stone and his family, including their two sons and Stone's new girlfriend.
“This year was all about change," she wrote. "Being single is a big change ... When things change, it’s important to keep some things the same."
Bialik previously mentioned a boyfriend on her website and in social media posts, though she never publicly revealed his identity.
In another more recent post, Bialik opened up about struggling with being single around the holidays.
"There is rarely good timing for a break up," she wrote. "But most certainly, the worst time is now. In case he is reading this, I’m just meh with this timing. Because say what you will, the holidays are a time to not be recently broken up."
