LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The vision of the Natural State’s capital city is a bright one according to Little Rock mayor Frank Scott Jr., who held the 2024 state of the city address Thursday night.

During the speech, the mayor laid out six core values that he and all 2,500 city employees will go about implementing.

The values include equity, people-centered, professionalism, innovation, exceptional service and accountability. But of course, the most important facet of a great city is being safe.

Sixty percent of city budget goes to public safety and as a result of that, Scott said that homicides are down 22% from 2022.

A plan that is in place, and should be complete by 2026, is for all Little Rock Police Department officers to have their own patrol car to increase police presence around the city.

Through Rock-folio, residents can access the city wallet which will allow transparency by showing city employee salaries and contracts.

Rock-folio can be accessed by going to Data.LittleRock.gov.
