Mayor’s Mardi Gras Ball: dining, drinks and dancing

ST. LOUIS – The “social event of the season” is returning to Union Station on Feb. 9.

The Mayor’s Mardi Gras Ball is one of the many events held throughout the Mardi Gras season. With dining, cocktails, entertainment and a dance floor, this special occasion is an excuse to dress up in your finest clothes for a night in the city.

Guests are able to reserve a Queen’s Round Table or become a Royal Sponsor, which includes a view of the shark and otter tank paired with a gourmet buffet, two tickets to the mayor’s reception prior to the event, access to The Wheel and aquarium, brand marketing, and a viewing area of the main stage.

General admission tickets are $125, and a ticket with royal court access is $300. As the Mardi Gras Foundation hosts the event, the money collected will be used for community grants to benefit the Soulard and downtown communities.

While the ball may end at midnight, the party doesn’t stop there.

VIP ticket holders are invited to the Regency Grand Ballroom at Union Station for an exclusive open bar and appetizers until 2 a.m., and general admission guests will receive two complimentary drinks. Tickets start at $100 and a portion of the proceeds will go to STL College Kids, a non-profit organization helping students pay for college costs.

Those who make a reservation at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel for the event are eligible to receive 25% off their stay. Reservations can be made here.
