McCaffery lands virtual gaming company Sandbox VR for Strip District Terminal

Chicago-based McCaffery Inc. has landed a new tenant in the Strip District Terminal it expects will be an experiential draw to all the tech workers and young professionals of the neighborhood and beyond.

The company announced it has a new lease with Sandbox VR to take 5,571 square feet in the terminal redevelopment to open this summer.

Dan McCaffery, CEO of McCaffery, called Sandbox VR a “very exciting addition” to the redevelopment in a prepared statement, adding: “Sandbox VR will offer a unique experience that will fit in with the personality and excitement available within the Strip District. It will enhance the Strip’s growing reputation as the ‘Silicon Strip.’”

David Friedman, global SVP of real estate for Sandbox VR, explained his company’s decision to set up in the Strip District Terminal in the announcement: “We chose Pittsburgh, and specifically The Terminal, for our very first Pennsylvania location because we wanted to be where people live, work, shop, dine, and play.”
